PURPOSE & MISSION STATEMENT OF SCOUTING

tep into the world of Scouting, and you´ll find yourself hiking along trails, canoeing twisting rivers and camping under the open sky -- and doing this with a group of young men and, in the case of Venturing, with young women from your community.

Scouting is an exciting and challenging program. But it´s more than that. It´s about friendships that last a lifetime, or being kind to another person, or doing a Good Turn daily. It´s learning to live the Scouting life.

It is the mission of the Boy Scouts of America to serve others by helping instill values in young people to prepare them to make ethical choices over their lifetime and achieve their full potential. The values we strive to instill are based on those found in the Scout Oath and Law.
